Terms & Conditions

Uptown and Away

Effective Date: November 2, 2026

Welcome to Uptown and Away! I'm excited to help you plan your next adventure. Before we get started, please review these Terms & Conditions. They explain how my travel planning services work, what you can expect from me, and your responsibilities as a traveler.

By requesting that Uptown and Away arrange or book travel services on your behalf, and affirmatively accepting these Terms & Conditions, you agree to the following provisions.

1. About Uptown and Away

Uptown and Away provides personalized travel planning and booking assistance for cruises, all-inclusive resorts, Disney destinations and experiences, European vacations, and other vacation packages.

Uptown and Away operates as an independent travel advisor business associated with Atlas Coast Travel.

Travel arrangements are provided by independent third-party suppliers, including cruise lines, resorts, hotels, airlines, tour operators, and other travel providers.

2. Travel Planning Fees

Uptown and Away does not charge clients additional fees for its standard travel planning and booking assistance.

Compensation is generally received through commissions paid by participating travel suppliers.

Vacation prices, promotions, and availability are determined by the applicable suppliers and may change until a reservation is confirmed.

3. Reservations, Payments & Pricing

All reservations are subject to availability and the applicable travel supplier's terms and conditions.

Travel payments are processed directly by the applicable travel supplier. Uptown and Away does not independently collect or process client vacation payments.

Clients are responsible for providing accurate payment information, reviewing booking details, and meeting all deposit and final payment deadlines.

Prices are subject to change until confirmed by the supplier. Additional costs, such as taxes, gratuities, resort fees, excursions, baggage fees, or other charges, may apply depending on the travel arrangements.

4. Cancellations, Changes & Refunds

Uptown and Away will assist clients with requesting cancellations or modifications to their reservations.

However, all requests are subject to the applicable supplier's policies, availability, restrictions, and fees.

Cancellation penalties may increase as departure dates approach, and certain reservations, deposits, or promotional fares may be nonrefundable.

Refund eligibility, travel credits, and processing timelines are determined by the applicable supplier and, where applicable, governing law.

While Uptown and Away will make reasonable efforts to assist clients with supplier communications, it cannot guarantee that a cancellation, change, refund, or credit request will be approved.

Uptown and Away does not currently charge separate agency cancellation or change fees.

5. Travel Insurance

Travel insurance is strongly recommended for every client.

Depending on the policy purchased, travel insurance may provide coverage for certain trip cancellations, interruptions, medical emergencies, travel delays, lost baggage, and other unexpected circumstances.

Coverage varies significantly by policy. Clients are responsible for reviewing all benefits, exclusions, limitations, eligibility requirements, and claim procedures before purchasing coverage.

Uptown and Away may provide information about available insurance options or refer clients to an appropriately authorized insurance provider.

Travel insurance is optional unless otherwise required by a travel supplier or destination.

Clients who decline recommended coverage acknowledge that they may be responsible for losses or expenses not otherwise reimbursable.

6. Passports, Visas & Travel Documents

Travelers are responsible for obtaining and maintaining all required travel documents, including valid passports, visas, identification, and any other documents required for their destinations.

Uptown and Away may provide general guidance and direct travelers to official government or supplier resources. However, each traveler is responsible for verifying the requirements applicable to their citizenship, itinerary, and personal circumstances.

Entry requirements may change and can include passport validity periods, visas, electronic travel authorizations, vaccinations, or other health documentation.

Uptown and Away is not responsible for denied boarding or entry resulting from a traveler's failure to meet applicable documentation or entry requirements, except to the extent liability cannot legally be excluded.

7. Airfare Reservations

Uptown and Away does not offer standalone airfare booking services.

Airfare assistance is available when flights are included as part of a vacation package, cruise package, or other qualifying travel arrangement.

Travelers seeking airline tickets only are encouraged to book directly with their preferred airline.

Airline schedules, fares, baggage policies, seat assignments, and flight changes are governed by the applicable airline's rules and policies.

8. Travel Suppliers & Service Disruptions

Uptown and Away assists clients with planning and arranging travel services but does not own, operate, or directly control the independent suppliers providing those services.

Travel suppliers are responsible for delivering their contracted services, subject to applicable law.

Circumstances beyond Uptown and Away's reasonable control may include flight delays or cancellations, cruise itinerary changes, weather events, natural disasters, labor disruptions, resort closures, and government restrictions.

Uptown and Away will make reasonable efforts to assist clients with communications and available options when disruptions occur but cannot guarantee particular outcomes or prevent changes made by suppliers.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

9. Traveler Responsibilities

Clients agree to:

  • Provide accurate names, dates of birth, contact details, and other required booking information.

  • Review reservation confirmations and promptly report any errors.

  • Meet applicable payment deadlines.

  • Verify passports, visas, and destination entry requirements.

  • Review supplier policies and travel insurance information.

  • Comply with applicable laws, destination requirements, and supplier rules.

  • Notify Uptown and Away promptly of requested changes or concerns.

Names supplied for reservations should match the identification or travel documents required for the trip.

10. Travel Advisories, Health & Safety

Travelers are encouraged to review official government travel advisories and destination-specific health and safety information before departure.

Travel conditions, local regulations, and entry requirements can change without notice.

Travelers are responsible for evaluating their personal circumstances and obtaining appropriate medical, legal, or other professional advice when necessary.

11. Accuracy of Travel Information

Uptown and Away strives to provide accurate, current travel information.

However, supplier pricing, availability, amenities, schedules, policies, and destination requirements may change.

Clients should review the final supplier-issued reservation documents for the confirmed details of their trip.

12. Client Acknowledgment & Authorization

Before any travel reservation is submitted, clients must complete all required acknowledgments and authorizations.

Uptown and Away will provide clients with secure links to complete the following:

  1. Terms & Conditions Acknowledgment: Clients must review and electronically accept Uptown and Away's Terms & Conditions, along with any applicable travel supplier policies.

  2. Credit Card Authorization: Clients must complete a secure credit card authorization permitting the applicable travel supplier to process approved charges associated with their reservation. All vacation payments are processed directly by the travel supplier, not by Uptown and Away.

  3. Travel Insurance Acknowledgment: Clients will receive a separate link to review travel insurance information and document their decision to accept or decline the recommended coverage. Coverage, eligibility, and benefits are subject to the applicable insurance policy and provider requirements.

All three acknowledgments and authorizations must be completed before Uptown and Away submits a travel reservation.

Uptown and Away will retain appropriate records of completed acknowledgments and authorizations in accordance with applicable privacy and data-security requirements. Sensitive payment card information will be handled through secure, authorized systems rather than stored in ordinary client records.

13. Updates to These Terms

Uptown and Away may update these Terms & Conditions as business practices or applicable requirements change.

Updated terms will be posted on the website with a revised effective date. Material changes will not automatically alter terms already accepted for a confirmed booking unless the parties agree or applicable law permits.
